Welcome, Davy's Daily Dose of Climbing

Welcome to Davy's Daily Dose of (Fill In The Blank).  My name is Sarah Hughes and I am the proud Momma of Davy Lee.  Davy is my 22 month old son who inspired me to begin blogging.  This blog will be about Davy, being a working Mom and wife, and living every day with the joy of being the Mom to the most loving and curious little boy that I know.  I hope you enjoy getting to know my family and friends and feel free to comment about anything.  I love questions and comments and I will reply.

Let's begin with some basics so if you are reading this blog you know who we are all about.  As I said before my name is Sarah, I am 28 year old wearer of many hats which include wife to Ben, Momma to Davy, manager to Walgreens, and friend to many.  I grew up in North Austin and had the kind of childhood that most kids could only dream of.  My Mom, Denise was a stay at home Mom and my Dad, Richard worked for TI and currently AT&T.  My childhood memories were of dinners around the kitchen table every night, family vacations to Disney World, San Francisco and every tourist trap in Texas, church every Sunday where we had an assigned pew and enough childhood activities to take out a small army.  Of course all of this is very well documented in photos and video tapes.  I was blessed to be raised in a family where I was the eldest of 4.  I have two sisters and a brother.

I met my husband, Ben in 2006 and we are as opposite as day and night and although we have had our ups and downs, he is my best friend.  We were married on October 20, 2007 in Lockhart, Texas where we live.  Lockhart is the BBQ capital of Texas in case that is ever on Jeopardy or a Trivial Pursuit question. Ben is a pawn broker and brings home great deals on everything from jewelry to electronics. Ben loves antiques, shopping(yes, he can out-shop me any day), movies, and spending time with Davy and me.  He is a natural comedian and loves to make people laugh.

Davy was born on September 16, 2008, that was the day that I completely understood the sappy saying, you never have loved something soo much.  Davy is the light of my life and although we are edging in on the terrible two I enjoy every moment I spend with him.  Davy is a loving, energetic, talkative, always moving little boy.  He loves balls, he can play with one or five for hours.  He is very vocal nowadays on his likes and dislikes and I see a little boy and not a baby more and more every day.

So I titled entry number 1 Davy's Daily Dose of Climbing. Now there is climbing and there is a climbing. Davy is a climber.  Actually Davy is a monkey.  He is completely fearless which scares me to death.  He climbs on anything and everything and doesn't understand why Mom, Dad, Mammaw(my Mom), Grandma(Ben's Mom, Cheryl) or Pops(Ben's Dad, Larry) won't allow him to climb wherever his little heart desires. Davy is currently attempting to climb on to my dresser to interrupt me from not giving him all of my attention.  I love him to death but this climbing is killing me.  I know its a phase but I keep telling Ben I have insurance but I don't want to have to use it.

I am ending today's entry with some recent photos of Davy. I have been getting guilt tripped by many of my friends and family for not posting any new pics so here they are.

Until Tomorrow....here is your Daily Dose of Davy!!!!
